What To Expect

In-Person Worship
We have resumed our regular, two service Sundays! Join us at 8:45 am for our Contemporary Worship or 11:00 am for Traditional. Sunday School for all ages is offered between services at 10:00 am. Nursery is available for 3 and under.

Both services last about an hour. Communion is offered to all, every Sunday.
Please note: Masks, at this time, are still required and we are enforcing social distancing.

8:45 am: The service typically starts with some upbeat music from "NewLight" our talented praise and worship band. They do a great job leading our music with a contemporary feel (guitars, keyboards, drums, and vocalists). They play songs by popular contemporary Christian artists along with originals they have written. Expect some great singing and music in a relaxed worship service.

11:00 am: The 11:00 worship service is a traditional service of worship that incorporates responsive readings, scripture readings, Holy Communion, special ensembles,  piano music, and more! God is praised through word and worship, sacrament and song, preaching and prayer. Worshipers participate in a more reflective and transforming service sharing in corporate worship with congregational responses and reciting the Lord's Prayer.

Not comfortable joining us in person yet? That's okay! We livestream each service on Facebook Live! We hope you will join us, virtually, by logging in at 8:45 am or 11:00 am.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it important what I wear?

That's a simple one to answer....whatever you feel comfortable wearing! Most people will be dressed casually.....but some feel more comfortable wearing a sport coat and tie or a dress. It's not unusual to see people in jeans, tee-shirt and tennis shoes sitting next to others wearing "church clothes". We know God is much more concerned about a person's heart than the clothes they are wearing.

What kind of people will I meet?

Pretty ordinary people actually...in a Dallas suburb kind of way. We have a diverse cross-section of people from Rowlett and surrounding communities. The one thing we all have in common is we enjoy being together to worship in a relaxed environment.

Where will I park and enter?

Parking is available directly in front of the church doors. You may enter our parking lot from either Miller Road or Chiesa Road. Visitor parking can be found in front of the playground. Enter through the doors with the covered driveway. Our address is 7301 Miller Road, Rowlett, Texas 75088.

What about children in worship?

We believe children learn best in the environment of worship. While safety protocols have changed the way this looks... children are offered their own packets upon entering. Nursery is available for ages 3 and under and a special Children's Moment is integrated into each service to help explain the sermon in a kid-friendly way!
