RECAP: Youth Mission Trip 2015

What an incredible week we had in Chicago, Illinois for our Youth Mission Trip. A total of 13 youth (grades 6-12) and 4 adult sponsors served this year alongside Northway Christian Church.

This past week, we worked with:

·  Urban Art Retreat, an organization designed to help people work through issues they may have with homelessness or depression using art. We spent two days with them building a peace garden in a neighborhood hoping to build peace and unity with the neighbors.

· The Greater Chicago Food Depository, we helped them bag over 2,400 pounds of noodles. By doing so, we helped put out roughly 20,000 servings of food!

· Well of Mercy, an organization that houses women who are pregnant and allows them to stay up to five years to attend college or get a trade and be able to provide for themselves and their family. We helped by organizing their toy room and helped put together a resale shop to help raise funds for daily expenses.

· Habitat for Humanity ReStore, we helped organize their store, take in donations, and hung door hangers around the neighborhood to help bring in more business
