125th Anniversary Weekend
October 19, 2018, 12:00 AM

First Christian Church, Rowlett is celebrating a HUGE milestone in 2018!

Rowlett was a small farming town of less than 1,000 residents in 1893 when 13 church pioneers got together to establish a church of the Disciples of Christ. Less than 20 gathered in the Big A schoolhouse for services. In 1895 the first church building was completed and served as the church home until a new and larger one was built in 1923 on Main Street in downtown Rowlett. This served as the church home until 1996 when the present building was constructed.
